17 Year to implement research

I come across mind-blowing studies on a weekly basis. Often there are new breakthroughs in medical research which can be implemented immediately to patients. For example, science shows us that a Paleo diet is more effective in controlling diabetes when compared to a Mediterranean diet, so why is the Mediterranean diet recommended over a paleo diet?

Studies such as this one, show that on average it takes 17 years for new science to be accepted and implemented by the medical system. This is a shocking statistic that no doubt causes increased death rates and suffering. This is the main reason independent researcher are years ahead of the public health recommendations.

This video from Medical Doctor Kent Holtorf explains why we have a 17-year gap between proven research and it’s implementation to the public.
